Four. We like to keep our student body to sixteen.
We follow a basic University calendar. We start in early September and finish in early May. We take off a week for Thanksgiving and Easter/spring break with two weeks off for Christmas. School hours are 9:00-5:00 Monday-Friday. Students have 24/7 access to the school year-round.
Contact us and we will reach out to have a conversation.

First year – focus on seeing shapes and drawing correctly, both in linear and mass
Second year – focus on seeing values correctly, both optically and form-based
Third year – focus on seeing color, primarily through still life
Fourth year – focus on learning different methodologies and indirect painting techniques, portraiture, and advanced studies.

No, and oftentimes having none leads to faster progress given since there might be fewer bad habits to break. We have students who have never painted alongside professional artists just looking to push their skill level. We start everyone at the beginning. Those with experience will move along at a faster pace.
We believe that talent is far more common than most would ever believe. A person really wouldn’t know if they have any musical talent until they became proficient in playing the violin. Dedicated individuals learn to paint at a high level if given the proper classical-based instruction. We offer a proper classical instruction focused on the visual arts.
